National Highways are resurfacing the A30 between Dunheved and Trebursye. This will maintain and improve safety for everyone using the road, and reduce the need for any unplanned closures.

Closure information

  • Monday 4 to Monday 11 November: the westbound A30 will be closed between Liftondown junction and Tavistock Road.
  • Tuesday 12 to Monday 18 November: the westbound A30 will be closed between Liftondown junction and Pennygillam.
  • Wednesday 20 to Wednesday 27 November:the westbound entry slip at Pennygillam will be closed and we’ll be using a convoy system on the A30. This means the A30 is still open, but you will be taken past the working area behind a traffic vehicle at a reduced speed.
  • Thursday 28 November: the westbound A30 will be closed between Liftondown junction and Pennygillam.

Access will be maintained to any properties within the closures, please approach the closure point for access.

This work is subject to favourable weather conditions, for example heavy rain may affect the progress. If the work is not completed as planned during the above dates, there will be closures on Friday 29 November and Monday 2 December. More details will be available on the web link below.

Details of the diversion routes will also be available on the webpage. Please plan ahead and allow extra time for your journeys.
